If you have a heat pump, you need to make sure your outdoor unit is operating in the winter or you may get a surprise on your electric bill!!!

Your house may be heating on  electric strip heaters(back-up Heat)inside your indoor unit which will cause your electric bill to be much higher.

Until you get a bill, you will not realize this. Having a maintenance check preformed will help check for this and can save you money in the long run
